MyKindaFuture Raises £2.75M in Funding

my kinda futureMyKindaFuture, a London, UK-based recruitment program and platform provider that connects businesses and students across secondary and higher education, raised £2.75m in funding.

Puma Private Equity made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its business reach.

Founded in 2011 by Will Akerman, Managing Director, MyKindaFuture specializes in bridging the gap between young people and the world of work, raising the skills and aspirations of more than 80,000 young people aged 11 to 25 each year. The company provides young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with critical employability skills whilst connecting them with work experience and employment opportunities to enable them to succeed in the workplace.
MyKindaFuture draws on a mix of face-to-face workshops, online challenges, digital tools, events, campus ambassadors and pre-boarding programs to upskill students and employees. For
instance, its online platform, connectr, allows MKF to support young people throughout their career journey – from initial engagement, to mentoring, to day one and beyond.
MKF works with multi-national businesses, SMEs, government bodies, public sector institutions and charities.

Its client base includes 65 employers, such as BT, Burberry, Cisco, Deloitte, Dentsu Aegis and TCS.
