Linear Raises $4.2M in Seed Funding

linearLinear, a San Francisco, CA-based platform to streamline how teams build software, starting from issue tracking, raised $4.2m in seed funding.

The round was led by Sequoia Capital with participation from from Index Ventures and Dylan Field (Founder and CEO, Figma), Emilie Choi (COO, Coinbase), Charlie Cheever (Co-Founder of Expo & Quora), Gustaf Alströmer (Partner, Y Combinator), Tikhon Berstram (Co-Founder, Parse), Larry Gadea (CEO, Envoy), Jude Gomila (CEO, Golden), James Smith (CEO, Bugsnag), Fred Stevens-Smith (CEO, Rainforest), Bobby Goodlatte, Marc McCabe, Julia DeWahl, Dan Romero and others.

The company intends to use the funds to scale with the demand for its product.

Led by Karri Saarinen, and cofounder and CEO, Linear provides an issue tracking tool for high-performance teams at startups and companies tro streamline software projects, sprints, tasks, and bug tracking.
Today, hundreds of companies are using Linear daily including companies like Pitch, Render, Albert, Curology, Spoke, Compound and several new YC startups like Middesk, Catch and Visly.
