Edukasyon.ph Receives Undisclosed Funding

Edukasyon.ph, a Taguig City, Manila, Philippines-based online education platform, received an initial close of the Series A funding.

Backers included EduLab Capital Partners, Obunsha Ventures, Alternate Ventures, Foxmont Capital Partners, Lorinet Foundation, French Partners, First Asia Venture Capital and KSR Ventures.

The funding will allow the company to expand its online platform.

Led by CEO Henry Motte-Muñoz, Edukasyon.ph provides an online education platform for Filipino youth to find high schools and colleges, connect with international schools, and apply for scholarships. The platform offers access to senior high schools, colleges and universities, scholarships, online courses and other resources that enable education to employment pathways. The company partners with more than 500 educational institutions and 50 corporations and foundations.
Earlier this year in April, Edukasyon.ph acquired FindUniversity, an online directory of colleges, universities and academic programs offered across the country, for an undisclosed amount. Launched in 2010, FindUniversity provides access to more than 20,000 academic programs offered in over 900 higher education institutes across the Philippines.

The company also has offices in Cebu and Davao.
