1Password Closes $200M Series A Funding

1password1Password, a Toronto, Canada-based password manager, raised $200m in Series A funding.

The round wad led by Accel and joined by Slack Fund, Atlassian executives and other notable investors.

The company intends to use the funds to invest in product and go-to-market programs to expand its enterprise presence globally.

Led by Jeff Shiner, CEO, and Dave Teare, 1Password provides a password manager combining security and design to businesses and consumers globally. The company allows users to create passwords and auto-fills logins for any site or app with a click, so they can get more done without remembering – or knowing – their credentials. Secure vaults provide a safe place to share files and sensitive data while reporting and management tools give IT visibility into breaches and compromised accounts.
The Enterprise Password Manager is used by more than 50,000 business customers, including IBM, Slack, PagerDuty, Dropbox, Gitlab and Roche.
