Young Alfred Raises $10M in Series A Funding

young alfredYoung Alfred, a New York City, NY and Philadelphia, PA-based home insurance shopping platform, raised $10m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Gradient Ventures, Google’s AI-focused venture fund, with participation from Pear Ventures, ERA, and Newfund Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Zach Bratun-Glennon, Partner at Gradient Ventures, will be joining Young Alfred’s board.

The company will use the new capital to hire engineering, sales and business development talent, and scale its marketing efforts.

Co-Founded by Jason Christiansen and David Stasie, Young Alfred empowers homeowners with the data to compare and purchase coverage online by highlighting the fine print under each policy form. It a licensed insurance agency in all 50 states, with direct relationships to over 30 insurance carriers.
