Very Good Security, a San Francisco, CA-based SaaS infrastructure platform for data security, compliance, and privacy, raised $35m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Goldman Sachs’ Merchant Banking Division with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz and Vertex Ventures US.
The company intends to use the funds for business growth.
Founded in 2016 by Mahmoud Abdelkader and Marshall Jones, Very Good Security is a data security company providing a SaaS developer-friendly platform to allow businesses to use sensitive data without the cost or liability of securing the data themselves.
VGS provides specialized infrastructure to act as a custodian for sensitive data, improving security while also accelerating business growth.
The company serves customers like Brex, Travel Bank, Deserve, Fivestars, and LendUp.
