Upstream Security Closes $30M in Series B Funnding

upstreamUpstream Security, a San Mateo, CA- and Herzeliya, Israel-based provider of cybersecurity solutions for connected vehicles, raised $30m in Series B funding.

The round, which brought total funding raised to date to $41m, was led by Renault Venture Capital with participation from Volvo Group Venture Capital, Hyundai, Hyundai AutoEver, Nationwide Ventures and original investors Charles River Ventures, Glilot Capital and Maniv Mobility.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Yoav Levy, Co-founder and CEO, Upstream Security provides a cybersecurity solution designed specifically for protecting connected vehicles from cyber-threats or misuse at rest and in motion. Yje platform is entirely cloud-based and ingests and normalizes automotive data to deliver cybersecurity insights to enable OEM car manufacturers and fleets to detect, monitor and respond to attacks targeting any part of the connected vehicle framework – even for vehicles already on the road – and ensure their security and safety is never compromised.
