U.S. Venture Partners Promotes Dafina Toncheva to General Partner

U.S. Venture PartnersU.S. Venture Partners, a Menlo Park, CA-based venture capital firm, promoted Dafina Toncheva to General Partner.

Toncheva joined USVP in November 2012 after several years in high-technology operating roles and experience at other notable venture capital firms.

She invests in emerging technologies in the enterprise space with focus on Enterprise SaaS applications and Cybersecurity. Her track record includes leading the first institutional round of investment in companies such as Cloudflare (NYSE: NET), Kenna Security, Matrixx Software and Prevoty (acquired by Imperva).

Toncheva is currently on the board of Inside Sales, Raken, Percepto, Luma Health and Arkose Labs.

Before becoming an investor, she held positions in software development and product management at Microsoft, where she focused on authentication systems, digital signatures and business workflows. She worked on MSN Live ID and MS Office, and co-authored several key patents.

In her new role, Toncheva will continue her focus on identifying and investing in early stage high potential SaaS and Cybersecurity companies.

She received an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Computer Science from Harvard University.

U.S. Venture Partners has invested in over 400 companies spanning three decades, including: Check Point Software, Concur, GoPro, Guidewire Software, Pluto TV, HotelTonight, Box, Imperva, Inspire Medical Systems, Intersect ENT, Omada Health, HeartFlow, ThreatMetrix, Trunk Club, Trusteer, Yammer, and Zerto. USVP focuses on early-stage start-ups that transform cybersecurity, enterprise software, consumer mobile and e-commerce, and healthcare.
