GreenPark Sports Raises $8.5M in Seed Funding

greenparkGreenPark Sports, a Calabasas, Calif.-based a publisher and developer of fan-forward, digital experiences and mobile games for the new generation of sports and eSports fans, raised $8.5M in seed funding.

The round was led by SignalFire with participation from Sapphire Sports and Founders Fund, among others.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to hire a team covering everything from creative arts professionals, engineering and development talent, as well as go-to-market and gaming industry strategists.

Co-founded by Chad Hurley (YouTube Co-founder / former CEO), Nick Swinmurn (Zappos founder / former CEO) and Ken Martin (BLITZ Co-founder / former CCO), GreenPark Sports creates games for the new generation of sports & esports fans. Its flagship product is a native, free-to-play mobile game played over the top of sporting events, where fans battle to become the “Best Fans.”
