EV Connect Raises $12M in Series B Funding

evconnectEV Connect, an El Segundo, Calif.-based provider of a platform for managing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, closed a $12m Series B funding round.

The round, which brought the total capital raised to over $25m, was led by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and Ecosystem Integrity Fund, with participation from other venture investors.

The company intends to use the funds for the global expansion of its EV charging ecosystem.

Established in 2009 by Jordan Ramer, CEO, EV Connect provides a cloud-based software platform for managing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, their interaction with utilities and the driver experience. The world’s largest companies from enterprise, to hospitality and retail, to universities and government facilities leverage the platform to optimizize and manage EV chargers. Customers include Yahoo!, Marriott, Hilton, Western Digital, Electrify America, ADP, Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority, New York Power Authority, and numerous municipalities.
