Clearlake Capital Group and TA Associates completed their previously announced investment in DigiCert, a Lehi, UT-based provider of TLS/SSL, IoT and PKI solutions.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company is using the proceeds to accelerate investment in automation and certificate management solutions to support customers and accelerate growth.
Led by CEO John Merrill, DigiCert is a provider of scalable TLS/SSL, PKI solutions for identity and encryption to innovative companies, including 89% of the Fortune 500 and 97 of the 100 top global banks, to power their web servers and Internet of Things devices.
The company supports TLS/SSL and other digital certificates for PKI deployments at any scale through its certificate lifecycle management platform, CertCentral®, which automates the tasks of certificate issuance, renewal, discovery and remediation, with features including ACME protocol.
DigiCert also provides PKI for enterprise authentication and many IoT device industry consortia and manufacturers, issuing billions of device certificates to-date.
The company is also developing solutions in related emerging technologies, such as blockchain.
