ClearAccessIP Raises $3.7M in Funding

clearaccessipClearAccessIP, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based creator and owner of intellectual property to develop, manage, and transact patent-protected technology, secured $3.7m in in seed and note financing.

Investors include Alpana Ventures, Plug and Play Ventures, Founder’s X and Bill Tai, among others.

The company intends to use the funds to grow their AI-intermediated trading service.

Founded by Nicole Shanahan, CEO, ClearAccessIP provides a platform that integrates technology, data, AI, and service delivery to allow the creators and owners of IP to develop, manage, and transact patent protected technology. The company’s SaaS enabled marketplace streamlines companies traditional labor-intensive IP management and creation process to reduce the time and cost to obtain and manage patents, while improving the liquidity of patent portfolios.

ClearAccessIP aims to become the core platform for all stakeholders in the IP ecosystem, including corporations, universities, research labs, governments, inventors, entrepreneurs, investors and IP professionals.
