E-commerce giant Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) acquired INLT, a provider of cloud-based solutions for importing.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Following the deal, INLT will work with Amazon to develop the next generation of solutions for current customers and Amazon Selling Partners.
Amazon will offer the newly acquired technology to its merchants.
INLT helps companies manage their imports. is a licensed customs broker with the ability to file entries anywhere in the United States. The company’s cloud solution allows users to manage multiple spreadsheets with freight forwarders, customs brokers, truckers, and 3PL warehouses.
All entries are subject to INLT audit, review, and acceptance.
The company, which reportedly has a dozen employees based in Los Angeles and Philadelphia, is not accepting new customers at this time.
