Acai Activewear, a Chester, UK-based clothing brand for the women’s outdoorwear market, raised £350k in funding.
The round was led by Dow Schofield Watts Angels (DSW Angels).
The company intends to use the funds to expand its product range.
Started by husband and wife team Joe and Kasia Bromley, ACAI Activewear offers skinny trousers, which have proved popular with audiences ranging from dog walkers, horse riders and outdoors enthusiasts, animal workers and other professionals.
Since its launch in 2016, sales have grown rapidly and the company is on course to double turnover to over £1m this year. The couple run the business from premises in Chester and employ two staff.
