Kasten Raises $14M in Series A Funding

kastenKasten, a Los Altos, Calif.-based cloud-native data management company, raised $14m in Series A funding.

The round, which brought total funding to $17m to date, was led by Insight Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Michael Triplett, managing director of Insight Partners, will join Kasten’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to grow all areas including sales, engineering, and marketing, in addition to creating an R&D center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Series A financing builds on an exceptional year for Kasten which saw a rapidly growing roster of enterprise customers that are scaling cloud-native deployments.

Founded in 2017 and led by Niraj Tolia, CEO, Kasten provides the K10 data management platform which enables IT and DevOps teams to meet business continuity and compliance requirements around stateful container-based applications running at scale on public and private Kubernetes deployments and handle Backup and Recovery, Cloud Migration, and Disaster Recovery.

The company also has offices in Salt Lake City, UT.
