Everywhere Communications Raises $6.1M in Funding

Everywhere Communications, an Annapolis, MD-based provider of global safety and productivity solutions, closed its second capital raise.

In total, the company has raised $6.1m.

Technology venture fund Gemini Capital LLC, founded by Dan Colussy, former chairman of Iridium Communications, led the round, with participation from new and existing investors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate innovation and growth, extending the reach of its connectivity solutions around the globe.

Led by Patrick Shay, founder and chief executive officer, Everywhere Communications provides safety, security and productivity solutions for enterprise and government organizations with people and assets deployed globally.
Its integrated multi-mode communications solutions utilize the Iridium® satellite constellation, including the newly launched Iridium NEXT satellites, as well as Wi-Fi and cellular networks, to provide always-on connectivity globally, including the over 80 percent of the world beyond the reach of cellular service.
The company recently announced an agreement with Garmin to offer inReach devices as part of its always connected solutions platform. Purpose-built for enterprise and government customers, the platform enables organizations with people that are in and out of cellular coverage to track and communicate with their teams deployed around the globe.

The company also has a Portland, ME technology center.
