Global professional services company Accenture (NYSE: ACN) completed the acquisition of Analytics8, an Australian big data and analytics consultancy.
The amount of the deal – first announced on August 15, 2019 – was not disclosed.
Analytics8 is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Accenture. The transaction strengthens the company’s capabilities to deliver AI-powered data and advanced analytics services to clients across Australia and New Zealand.
Founded in 2002 by Hedde Schuitemaker, Jean-Christophe Richard, and Alexander Brown, Analytics8 provides data management, reporting and visualisation, data science and analytics services to some of Australia’s largest organizations across multiple industries.
Its Melbourne and Sydney-based team of 70 professionals will join Accenture Applied Intelligence, which uses artificial intelligence-powered data, automation and analytics to help clients transform their businesses.
