Georges Raises €10M in Series A Funding

georgesGeorges, a Lyon, France-based provider of an accounting automation tool for freelancers, raised €10m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Alven with participation from existing investors Kerala and Fast Forward.

The company intends to use the funds to to double the size of its team, actively recruiting 40 new profiles, including data scientists and developers,
and accelerate its business reach into European markets.

Founded in 2016 by Cômes Fouques, Georges provides a Saas-based machine learning-powered platform for freelancers, doctors, lawyers, and architects’ accounting and tax which connects to their professional bank account. The software then reviews every transactions, automatically tag revenues, fills in the paperwork and sends it the relevant tax administration.
