Exyn Technologies Raises $16M in Series A Funding

Exyn A3RExyn Technologies, Inc., a Philadelhpia, PA-based worldwide leader in developing autonomous robot systems, raised $16M in Series A funding.

The round, which brought total funding to date to over $20M, was led by Centricus, with participation from Yamaha Motors Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Corecam Family Office, Red and Blue Ventures, and IP Group, Inc.

The company intends to use the funds to increase its commercial growth, expand its global reach and accelerate its technology development.

Led by Nader Elm, CEO, Exyn Technologies is a world leader in the development of aerial and ground-based robot systems (Advanced Autonomous Aerial Robots (A3Rs™) to autonomously navigate and collect data such as point clouds, imagery, gas readings, and more, in GPS-denied environments. A spin-off of the GRASP Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, Exyn is commercializing core technologies in the area of self-piloting robotics for digitally starved industries with environments that are dangerous and inaccessible. Its platforms do not use human control and the proprietary technology is built upon the fusion of multiple redundant sensors, mapping for obstacle avoidance, and independent planning.
