Brainly Raises $30M in Funding

brainlyBrainly, a Krakow, Poland- and York City-based peer-to-peer learning community for students, parents and teachers, raised $30m in funding.

The round, which brings total funding to date to $68.5M, was led by Naspers, with participation from Runa Capital and Manta Ray.

The company intends to use the funds to enhance the user experience and expand into the United States.

Led by CEO and Co-Founder Michal Borkowski, Brainly is a peer-to-peer learning network. Students use the platform to strengthen their skills across core subjects such as math, history, science, and social studies, to connect with their peers, subject matter experts, and professional educators to discuss their subjects and seek answers to tricky questions.
Brainly currently has 150 million monthly unique users in 35 countries with largest communities in the U.S., Russia, Indonesia, India, Turkey, Brazil, and Poland.
