Anchorage Raises $40M in Series B Funding

The round was led by Blockchain Capital, with participation from Visa.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its business growth and development efforts by adding participative features and financial services beyond custody.

Co-founded by Diogo Mónica and Nathan McCauley, Anchorage has built a secure crypto-native digital asset custody solution for institutional investors.
The company leverages modern security engineering to allow institutions to safeguard their investments while getting more out of their assets.
Clients include Blockchain Capital, Polychain, Paradigm, and a16z crypto.

Mónica and McCauley have been working on the forefront of security engineering for more than ten years as early employees at Square and Docker.
