SubjectWell, an Austin, TX-based risk-free clinical trials marketplace for patient recruitment, raised $10m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Windham Venture Partners, with participation from previous investors Healthy Ventures and Geekdom Fund.
The company intends to use the funds to extend its services beyond North America and into Europe, South America, and the United Kingdom.
Led by Ivor Clarke, CEO, SubjectWell provides risk-free patient recruitment for clinical trials. The company’s technology continuously recruits nationwide, informing and educating patients about clinical trials in general, at times when they are not thinking about their condition. It then contacts and qualifies these patients as new trials are added to the marketplace.
SubjectWell serves pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and contract research organizations.
