Cvent, a Tysons, VA-based meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, acquired DoubleDutch, a San Francisco based provider of a mobile event app.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will complement and grow Cvent’s signature mobile event app and onsite solution capabilities.
Led by Lawrence Coburn, CEO and founder, DoubleDutch provides a Live Engagement Platform that powers events, conferences, and trade shows for more than 500 customers including Akamai, LinkedIn, ASAE, SAP, and more. It is based in San Francisco with an additional U.S. office in Phoenix and a global presence in Amsterdam.

The Cvent Event Cloud offers software solutions to event planners and marketers for online event registration, venue selection, event management and marketing, onsite solutions, and attendee engagement. The Cvent Hospitality Cloud partners with hotels and venues to help them drive group and corporate travel business. Hotels use Cvent Hospitality Cloud’s digital marketing tools and software solutions to win business through Cvent’s sourcing platforms and to service their customers, helping them grow and own their business.
