TriEye Technologies, Ltd., a Tel Aviv, Israel-based developer of SWIR imaging solutions are designed to assist autonomous vehicles, raised $17m in funding.
The round was led by Intel Capital with participation from Marius Nacht and existing investor Grove Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds for product development and expansion of relationships with automotive partners.
Led by CEO Avi Bakal, Omer Kapach and Uriel Levy, TriEye is advancing a solution which enables cost-effective, high resolution image data at night and under most weather conditions using shortwave infrared (SWIR) cameras. This enables ADAS and Autonomous Vehicles reliability and safety. Other applications include Robotics, Smart City, Industrial, Drones, Agriculture, and Maritime.
TriEye’s Raven SWIR camera is based on the image sensor Raven, which enables short wave infrared capabilities with a CMOS-based sensor. Image data enables seamless integration with existing ADAS and AV architecture and can use existing computer vision algorithms.
Including the new funding, the company has raised $20 million to date.
