Part & Parcel, a San Francisco, CA-based social commerce community for plus size women, raised $4m in seed funding.
The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Peterson Ventures, Village Global and Manish Chandra (CEO and founder of Poshmark), among others.
The company intends to use the funds to produce the SS19 collection and launch tech tools to support sellers in growing their businesses.
Launched in May 2019 by Lauren Haber Jonas, CEO, Part & Parcel is a social commerce community offering a way for plus size women to sell wardrobe essentials to fellow plus size women.
The company’s maiden clothing and footwear collection for SS19 offers options for foundational wardrobe pieces including women’s tops, bottoms, outerwear and footwear, in prices ranging from $45 to $145 and sizes 0x to 6x (14 to 36).
Part & Parcel has also created Dimensional Sizing™, which offers extended options to allow women to purchase their true size while experiencing the comfort of extra room when they need it in areas such as bust, bicep, waist and calf.
Dimensional sizing will be offered in a wide-range of clothing options from blouses and blazers to shoes and pants so customers can customize their fit depending on where they need it to feel most comfortable.
