Weengs, a London, UK-based smart logistics startup, raised £6.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Oxford Capital with participation from existing investors Local Globe, Cherry Ventures and Venture Friends. In conjunction with the funding, William Orde, a partner at Oxford Capital, will join Weengs’ board.
The company plans to use the funds to invest in automation and technology and expand its geographical reach beyond London.
Led by CEO Pier Ronzi, Weengs provides large-scale logistics to small and medium businesses in one fully integrated fulfilment service. It is building a service that integrates technology, aggregates order volumes, supplies packing experts, know-how & tools, bringing insider knowledge & industry relationships, complete with instant-response customer support.
The company now has about 400 retailers as customers, and fulfilled over 500k online orders so far.
