Software Raises $7M in Funding

softwareSoftware, a San Francisco, CA-based data platform built for developers, raised $7m in financing.

The round was led by 8VC and Next47.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.

Software provides automatic programming metrics for developers to learn more about how they code. Its open source plugins, which provide free programming metrics right inside developer IDEs and text editors, can be installed quickly from the website or from inside most of the popular code editor marketplaces, including VS Code, Visual Studio, IntelliJ, Atom, Sublime Text, and more.

Over 10,000 developers in more than 100 countries use the company’s solution to provide the data they need to understand their personal habits, goals, and working styles.
