Talkoot Secures $1.65M in Seed Funding

talkootTalkoot, a Portland, Oregon-based cloud content production platform for global brands, closed a $1.65m seed funding round.

The round was led by Seven Peaks Ventures, joined by Cascade Angels, Willamette Valley Capital and a number of individual investors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate sales and marketing and drive product development.

Brian Hennessy, co-founder and chief operating officer, Talkoot provides a software as a service (SaaS)-based product content production system designed to allows brand teams to write, edit, approve, translate and deliver copy globally.
The platform, which plugs into existing enterprise resource planning, content management and product lifecycle management systems without creating redundant functionality or costs, is already in use by leading consumer-centric brands including Adidas, Mountain Hardwear, Dr. Martens, Burton Snowboards and Under Armour.
The company also has offices in Hood River.
