DigitalEd, a Waterloo, Ontonio, Canada-based online education technology startup, closed a $7m bridge round of financing.
This new round included participation from Kevin Weiss of Dorado Capital Partners and others.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by CEO Jim Cooper and COO Christina Perdikoulias, DigitalEd operates Möbius, an e-learning platform, which provides interactive courses including automated testing and assessment to educational institutions and trade schools around the world. It offers a multi-channel approach to learning, going beyond the simple digitization of courseware, ensuring dynamic, interactive experiences for the student, and providing multiple delivery options for the educator.
