Alpha Foods Raises $7M in Seed Funding

alphaplantbasedAlpha Foods, a Los Angeles, CA-based maker of plant-based meals, raised $7m in seed funding.

The round was co-led by New Crop Capital and AccelFoods.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the brand’s reach by bolstering innovation and distribution.

Founded in 2015 by Loren Wallis, CEO, and Cole Orobetz, Co-Founder and CFO/COO, Alpha Foods makes plant-based meals bringing clean and sustainable plant-based proteins to consumers. The company’s products are made with plant-based, non-GMO ingredients.
The brand portfolio features 20 products that are currently available in over 6,000 stores nationwide, including Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Sprouts, Wegmans, and more.
