SK_Capital_LogoSK Capital Partners, a NYC-based private investment firm focused on the specialty materials, chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors, closed its fifth fund, with total committed capital of approximately $2.1 billion.

SK Capital Partners Fund V includes a separate overage fund that will enable the firm to provide greater speed and certainty to sellers when it pursues larger transactions. The firm received support from a diverse network of investors, including public pension funds, insurance companies, fund-of-funds, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, foundations and family offices.

This is SK’s largest fund to date, overcoming its $500 million fund raised in 2011 and its $1 billion predecessor fund raised in 2014.

Led by Jamshid Keynejad and Barry Siadat, co-founders and managing directors, SK Capital Partners has a disciplined focus on the specialty materials, chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors and utilizes its industry, operating and investment experience to identify opportunities to transform businesses into higher performing organizations with improved strategic positioning, growth and profitability as well as lower operating risk.

The firm, which currently has over $4 billion of assets under management, made its initial investment from SK Capital Partners Fund V as part of its acquisition of SI Group in October 2018.
