Palmetto Clean Technology, a Charleston, South Carolina-based platform technology and fulfillment company focused on the distribution of clean energy products, received a up to $20m in financing facilities from Energy Impact Partners (EIP), an utility-backed energy investment and innovation firm.
EIP invested in Palmetto via their Energy Impact Credit Fund (EICF), the companyās credit platform. This financing followed the company’s last capital raise in the fall, of $6m, in a round led by Greycroft, with participation from Lerer Hippeau, Box Group, and NBA commissioner emeritus David Stern.
The funds will be used to expand Palmettoās North American presence, increase staffing and develop programs to drive sales.
Led by Chris Kemper, Founder, CEO, and Chairman, Palmetto is a clean technology software and fulfillment platform company scaling the deployment of technology products such as energy storage, solar power, demand management systems, energy efficiency and beyond.
The company also has offices throughout the United States including Charlotte, San Francisco and Salt Lake City.
