Elevate Security, a Berkeley, CA- and Montreal, Canada-based cybersecurity behavior company, raised $8m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Defy Partners with participation from existing investor Costanoa Ventures. As part of this financing, Trae Vassallo, co-founder and managing director from Defy, and Martina Lauchengco, Operating Partner at Costanoa Ventures, have joined Elevate Security’s board.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand the team, open a new engineering hub in Montreal, and accelerate go-to-market for its platform.
Led by Robert Fly, co-founder and chief executive officer, and Masha Sedova, co-founder and chief product officer, Elevate Security is advancing an integrated security behavior platform which leverages the latest advances in behavioral and data science to provide a new approach to motivate, enable and reward employees for making good decisions, while providing CISOs and awareness practitioners visibility and insight into employee behavior and risk.
In order to develop the platform, the company has hired Jean-François Gailleur as vice president of engineering.
