Union Square Ventures Raises $429M for Two Funds

usvUnion Square Ventures, a New York-based venture capital firm, raised $429m for two funds and is raising a small third fund. 

According to two SEC filings, the funds include:
USV 2019, which raised $190.575m from 113 LPs.
USV Opportunity 2019, which raised $238.218m from 116 LPs.

Both the docs list Fred Wilson, Albert Wenger, Andrew Weissman, Rebecca Kaden and John Buttrick as people related with the raise.

The firm is also raising a third fund, called USV Opportunity Investors 2019, LP, targeting $11.25m. Per an SEC filing, it has not raised funds, yet.

Founded in 2003 by Fred Wilson and Brad Burnham, Union Square Ventures is a thesis-driven venture capital firm that invests in technology companies that broaden access to knowledge, capital, and well-being. Their active portfolio consists of more than 75 portfolio companies, each of which leverage networks, platforms, or protocols to build trusted brands.
The six-person partnership at USV manages over $1B across seven funds. Notable exits include Twitter, Etsy, Twilio, Lending Club, and MongoDB.
