Relay Ventures Promotes Jake Cassaday to Partner

Jake CassadayRelay Ventures, a North American venture capital firm, promoted Jake Cassaday to partner.

Cassaday has demonstrated a commitment to the founders in the firm’s portfolio and the team at Relay, supporting the partners while also mentoring the junior staff. He has helped to source and close investments in Canada and the United States. Cassaday is on the boards of AdmitHub, Alate Partners, Kira Talent, and Quid. In addition, he observes on the boards of 7shifts, Blue J Legal, and Circle.

Cassaday is the first ever team member to start as a summer intern and be promoted to Partner from within the firm. He first worked as an intern in 2014 in between the first and second year of his MBA at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, joined full-time as an Associate in August 2015 and was promoted to Associate Partner (Principal) in May 2017.
Prior to joining Relay, Cassaday was a global consumer electronics product and brand manager at Spin Master (TSX: TOY).
He also holds a BA in Marketing from Montreal’s McGill University.
