Piano, a NYC-based content monetization and audience intelligence technology company, raised $22m in Series B funding.
The round was led by Updata Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to enhance its products and services, to grow across all of its functions, particularly in R&D and client services, and yo expand into new markets and sectors.
Led by CEO Trevor Kaufman, Piano provides traditional content companies and digital-first entrants with a monetization and audience intelligence technology platform comprised of an integrated suite of intelligent business tools and includes:
- a subscription commerce engine,
- a customer experience toolkit, and
- a user management system.
The company serves over a thousand premium media brands including Business Insider, The Economist, Bloomberg, Menās Health, AdAge, Digiday, The Chive and more. Piano currently employs 180 staff members across seven offices from New York and London to Rio De Janeiro.
It is also considering several acquisitions.
