Menlo Ventures, a Menlo Park, CA-based venture capital firm, is raising a $450m second opportunities fund.
According to a document filed with the SEC, Menlo Special Opportunities Fund II has not raised funds yet.
People related with the offering includes Mark A. Siegel, Shawn T. Carolan, Venky Ganesan and Matthew Murphy.
Menlo Ventures provides capital for multi-stage consumer and enterprise technology companies. Notable areas of investment include:
– Marketplaces,
– Consumer services,
– Smart cloud infrastructure,
– SaaS,
– Fintech, and
– Cybersecurity.
Menlo Ventures is currently investing Fund XII, a $400m fund with $15m allocated to the Menlo Talent Fund for fast seed funding. Menlo Opportunity Fund targets solely early growth investments.
The firm’s portfolio includes more than 70 public companies and more than 100 mergers and acquisitions.
