Evati Raises $550K in Second Seed Funding

Evati, Inc., an Evanston, Ill.-based personal-finance app provider, raised $550k in second seed funding.

The backers were not disclosed.

This second close followed an initial seed round of $735k raised in the end of 2017 bringing total funding to $1.285k.

Founded by CEO Pete Clemson, a former SVP of Client Experience Technology at Charles Schwab, where he ran a team of more than 800 employees and contractors, in June 2017, Evati provides a personal-finance app, which aims to simplify savings.
The app features easy-to-understand language and graphs to visualize budgets and savings. Users can transfer funds directly into designated accounts, which Evati then manages and invests in diversified securities portfolios.

The company currently has a team of seven.
