Sprout Social Raises $40.5M in Series D Funding

Sprout SocialSprout Social, a Chicago, IL-based provider of social media marketing, analytics and advocacy solutions for business, raised $40.5m in funding.

Backers included Goldman Sachs, New Enterprise Associates and Future Fund.

The company, which has raised to $103.5m in total, intends to use the capital to accelerate its plans for deepened platform capabilities and increased international expansion.

Led by Justyn Howard, CEO, Sprout Sprout offers deep social media listening and analytics, social management, customer care, and advocacy solutions to more than 25,000 brands and agencies, including Evernote, adidas, West Elm and Edelman. Its suite of solutions supports every aspect of a cohesive social program and enables organizations of all sizes to extend their reach, amplify their brand and create the kind of real connection with their consumers that drives their businesses forward.
