Solo.io Raises $11M in Series A Funding

soloSolo.io, a Cambridge, MA-based software company for enterprises to adopt and operate innovative cloud native technologies, raised $11m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from seed investor True Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Redpoint partner Satish Dharmaraj and True partner Puneet Agarwal joined Solo.io’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate investment on its open source and enterprise product development, sales and marketing to meet market demand for its suite of products.

Founded in 2017 by Idit Levine, Solo.io develops open source and enterprise software for enterprises to adopt and operate innovative cloud native technologies like microservices, serverless and service mesh.
The company has just launched Gloo Enterprise (GlooE), an enterprise grade API gateway based on Solo.io’s open source Gloo project.

Other Solo’s open source tools include UniK, Squash, Sqoop, and SuperGloo, which have more than 4,000 stars on GitHub between them.
