Farmako, a Frankfurt, Germany-based pharmaceutical company, received a strategic investment from Heartbeat Labs.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company plans to accelerate its own research and development as well as its European growth.
Led by Niklas Kouparanis, Farmako is a research-based pharmaceutical company and distributor of medical cannabis, active in all European markets that have created a legal basis for cannabinoid therapies. The company, which focuses on research to develop new pharmaceutical products such as capsules, oils or inhalers, has branches in Germany and the United Kingdom.
