Egypt, CIB Launches Corporate Venture Capital Firm Focused on FinTech

cventuresCommercial International Bank (CIB), a Cairo, Egypt-based financial institution, established its corporate venture capital arm.

CVentures primarily focuses on investing in transformational FinTech startup companies, and next generation financial services platforms.

Led by Mr. Emad Fouad, Managing Director,  and Shady Tadross, Director, the new firm will pre-dominantly participate in Series A and Series B investment rounds in Egypt, the Middle East, Africa and other cross-border market economies, in addition to considering seed rounds across similar markets.

With its established network of over 190 branches and 6,500 employees, the bank is dedicated to providing financial solutions and products to individuals, households, high-net-worth individuals, large corporations, or small businesses that drive Egypt’s economy.
