dott Raises €20M in Funding

dottdott, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands–based micro-mobility company, raised €20m in funding.

The round was co-led by EQT Ventures and Naspers Ventures with participation from Axel Springer Digital Ventures, DN Capital, Felix Capital, FJ Labs, U-Start Club and angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to launch its eScooters and eBikes across European cities.

Co-founded by Maxim Romain and Henri Moissinac, dott offers green and affordable mobility solutions to cities and citizens via dockless shared eScooters and eBikes.
The company’s sturdier eScooters have 10″ wheels for reliable road grip, wide decks for optimized center of gravity, double brake system for safety (e-ABS and drum brake), speed cap at 20km/h and a longer charging autonomy to increase availability. The vehicles will also be 100% repairable, with all parts replaceable when damaged.
The first eScooters will be launched in a pilot at STATION F, the world’s biggest startup campus. The Paris test launch in early 2019 will form part of the opening of STATION F’s new co-living space, FLATMATES and deployed across European cities in 2019.
