PredictHQ Raises $10M in Series A Funding

predicthqPredictHQ, a San Francisco, CA-based data intelligence company for real-world events, raised $10m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Aspect Ventures with participation from Lightspeed and existing Australian-based investors Rampersand VC and AddVenture Fund. In conjunction with the funding, Theresia Gouw, Aspect Ventures co-founder, will join PredictHQ’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.

Led by Campbell Brown, CEO and co-founder, PredictHQ provides businesses with an intelligence platform to anticipate fluctuations in demand for their products and services by aggregating data on real-world events, including concerts, sports, conferences, performances, public holidays, severe weather, and even terrorist attacks.
The solution is used by developers, product leaders and data scientists at companies like Uber, Hotels and travel aggregators, like Booking.com, restaurants like Domino’s, airlines, ride-sharing companies, etc. to adjust services, supply chains, features, messaging and pricing based on real-world events.
PredictHQ aggregates and verifies more than 2 billion data points to enrich nearly 20 million events across 30,000 cities worldwide into the API.
