Oracle Acquires Talari Networks

ORACLEOracle (NYSE: ORCL) is to acquire Talari Networks, a San Jose, CA-based provider of Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technology.

The amount of the deal – expected to close in 2018 – was not disclosed.

Talari has developed proprietary technology that enhances SD-WAN by adding reliability and predictability while maintaining security for site-to-site and site-to-cloud connectivity and application access over any IP network.
The company currently offers centralized control and improved application performance used for over 500 customers in over 40 countries.

The addition of Talari’s technology aims to complement Oracle Communications’ Session Border Controller (SBC) and network management infrastructure by adding availability, connectivity and cloud application access across any IP network through private networks.
Together, the two companies will provide users with complete enterprise network solutions that ensure reliability and performance of real-time communications and mission-critical applications over any network.
