Mojo Vision Raises Over $50M

mojoMojo Vision, a Saratoga, CA-based augmented reality platform that delivers relevant information to people personally, raised over $50m to date.

Backers included Shanda Group, Khosla Ventures, NEA, Fusion Fund, Liberty Global Ventures, 8VC, Dolby Family Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, Open Field Capital, and others.

Co-founded by CEO Drew Perkins, CTO Mike Wiemer and Chief Science Officer Michael Deering, Mojo Vision is developing products and platforms that deliver information and knowledge without traditional devices.
The company’s Invisible Computing platform will enable information to be instantaneous, unobtrusive and available hands-free, and will allow people to interact with each other freely.

The Invisible Computing platform is built around three essential elements:
Focus: The platform will enable people to have their eyes up and focus on the information and ideas that can improve their lives or business and not look down at a screen.
Freedom: People will have access to information and ideas wherever they go without a device. Information will be delivered in an immediate, intuitive and unobtrusive way.
Confidence: This focus and freedom can give people a new set of abilities, restore lost confidence, or deliver a new level of self-assurance.

The company will release more detail on its technology, platform and products at a future date.
