Logical Clocks, a Stockholm, Sweden-based enterprise vendor for Hopsworks – a data platform for scale-out data science and AI, raised €1.25m in seed funding.
The round was led by Timo Tirkkonen of Inventure, now chairman of the board, with participation from Frontline Ventures, and AI Seed.
The company intends to use the funds to scale engineering to accelerate innovation, while focusing on building out the customer base.
Co-founded by Assoc. Prof Jim Dowling, Prof Seif Haridi and researchers at KTH University and RISE SICS in Stockholm, Logical Clocks provides Hopsworks – a data platform for hyperscale data science on scale-out GPUs based on Hadoop platform Hops.
The company, which has offices in Stockholm, London, and Palo Alto, serves several customers in a variety of verticals from finance, to the vehicle industry, to telecoms, and healthcare.
