Inovus Medical, a St Helens, Merseyside, UK-based designer and manufacturer of medical and surgical simulators, secured £700k in funding.
The round was led by NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance, which is managed by Mercia Fund Managers and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, with participation from an angel investor.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth of commercial operations in the domestic and international markets.
Led by CEO Dr Elliot Street, Inovus Medical is a designer and manufacturer of medical and surgical simulators. Its Bozziniä Hysteroscopy Trainer is a simulator for teaching the skill of hysteroscopy (operating on the womb).
The company also plans to add a suite of new 3D printing technologies to its manufacturing processes and introduce new software additions to its existing product offering.
