iBanFirst Raises €15M in Series B Funding

ibanfirstiBanFirst, a Brussels, Belgium-based fintech startup, raised €15M in Series B funding.

This round was led by Serena Capital with participation from Xavier Niel and Breega.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to invest in research and development and expand in new markets.

Led by Pierre-Antoine Dusoulier, CEO and Founder, iBanFirs provides FX payment and transfer solutions targeting companies with an international presence. Users can pay and get paid in 25 different currencies, with more to follow soon.
Clients include Bensimon, Guard Industrie, Mobile Club, among other 2,500 companies.
In total, 100,000 transactions have been registered since iBanFirst’s creation and over €2 billion have transited through the interface in 2018.

The company will now continue to expand into new markets, following already launched pilots in France, Belgium, Netherlands, several countries of Eastern Europe. It is preparing to make its debut in Germany and Italy.
