Botkeeper Raises $18M in Series A Funding

botkeeper LogoBotkeeper, a Boston, MA-based AI bookkeeping startup, raised $18M in Series A funding.

Backers included Greycroft, Gradient Ventures, Ignition Partners, Halfcourt Ventures, Sorenson Capital, Julian Brodsky, Stephen Messer, Mike Volpe, Jeff Fagnan, and Matthew Dellavedova.

The company, which has raised $22.5M in total funding to date, intends to use the capital to grow across engineering, sales, and marketing.

Led by Founder Enrico Palmerino and Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President Chris Mahl, Botkeeper is developing AI to automate bookkeeping and accounting functions for businesses. The platform integrates with a client’s banks, credit cards, HR system, and POS system, and makes appropriate entries and adjustments to their Quickbooks or Xero accounts, providing businesses with a 24/7 AI-driven botkeeper.

The company currently supports nearly 1000 companies.
